TORKMARK

Vehicle maintenance, modifications, and before-and-after insights

Every change. Every result. Every mile.

Track the parts, repairs, and mods that make your vehicle yours. Compare readings before and after the work, and keep your vehicle’s story in one place.

Before and after

You did the work. See what changed.

Log a change and Torkmark compares your most recent drive before it against your most recent drive after it, on the same reading.

Illustrative example — sample data

Before

214 °F

Peak coolant temperature. Most recent drive before the work, 28 March 2026. Ambient 61 °F.

The work

Fan clutch replaced

2 April 2026 · 79,404 miles · $148.90. Added by you.

After

203 °F

Peak coolant temperature. Most recent drive after the work, 9 April 2026. Ambient 58 °F.

11 °F lower peak coolant temperature on the drive after the work.

What the comparison is, and is not

See the difference between the drives before and after the work. Torkmark reports what changed, not what caused it.

Conditions are checked on ambient temperature only, and a comparison that cannot meet that check refuses to assert a result rather than reporting one.

Conditions can differ between drives. Compare similar trips for a more useful picture.

How it works

Three steps, and the rest is driving.

Torkmark reads the standard OBD-II signals your vehicle answers to, including coolant, intake and ambient temperature, engine load, throttle, engine speed, speed, fuel trims and module voltage.

  1. Record a baseline. Start a drive and Torkmark records the readings your vehicle reports, then keeps a summary of that drive on your phone.
  2. Log the change. Log each part, repair or modification with its date, mileage, cost and notes; every change commits a new version and keeps the one it replaced.
  3. Compare the results. Review what the readings did on either side of the change, with the work itself alongside them.

Already started your build? Start with what you know.

Enter the work you have already done, with whatever dates, mileage and costs you have. Written notes cannot recreate readings that were never captured. It still belongs on the record.

Why the gauge is not enough

The needle can sit dead centre while the real number moves.

Owners have checked the factory coolant gauge against the real temperature and found the needle parked dead centre at 194 °F and still dead centre at 222 °F. Manufacturers damp that needle on purpose. The number itself is on the vehicle’s data network the whole time.

Owner-reported, from a coolant-temperature forum thread. Torkmark shows the number, not a pinned needle.

Ownership

A history worth keeping.

The maintenance that keeps it going. The repair that solves a problem. The changes that make it yours. Bring the work and the readings together so the next decision starts with what you already know.

A blue Jeep Wrangler Unlimited on a driveway on an overcast morning, stock wheels, stock tyres, unlifted.
As it arrivedStock wheels and stock tyres, nothing added yet.
The same Jeep Wrangler Unlimited today, lifted on 35-inch tyres with a steel front bumper, photographed from the passenger side.
The same Jeep, laterLifted, on larger tyres, with a steel front bumper where the plastic one was.

Stock was just the starting point.

Maintenance and repairs sit on the record exactly as modifications do. Some work moves a reading and some does not: a bumper has no sensor behind it, and the entry is worth keeping anyway.

Every change tells a story.

Before you commit

Check your setup.

Available readings depend on your vehicle, its supported signals, and your adapter. Check what has been tested before you connect.

The adapterAn OBD-II adapter is a small device that plugs into the diagnostic port under your dash and connects the vehicle to your phone. Torkmark works with an ELM327-compatible Bluetooth OBD-II adapter over either Bluetooth LE or Bluetooth Classic.
What needs oneVehicle readings and drive recording need the adapter. Your build history does not: parts, repairs, dates, mileage and costs are entered on the phone.
What has been testedTorkmark is built and driven daily on a 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Other vehicles have not been tested yet. A vehicle that has not been tested is unverified, which is not the same as unsupported.
The phoneRequires Android 10 or newer. Closed testing is open in the United States only.

There is no published compatibility table yet, because one vehicle has been tested. Rather than fill a table with guesses, ask and you will get a straight answer about what is known for your year, make, model and engine.

Answers, open on the page

The nine questions people ask first.

WhoWho is it for?

Owners who do their own maintenance, repairs and modifications and want the work and the readings in one record. A vehicle kept stock belongs here as much as a built one.

RepairsCan I log repairs as well as mods?

Yes. Log each part, repair or modification with its date, mileage, cost and notes; every change commits a new version and keeps the one it replaced.

StartingCan I start without old readings?

Yes. Enter the work you have already done. Written notes cannot recreate readings that were never captured.

AdapterWhat adapter do I need?

Torkmark works with an ELM327-compatible Bluetooth OBD-II adapter over either Bluetooth LE or Bluetooth Classic. If you already own one and want to know whether it will do, ask about my adapter.

ComparisonWhat can I compare?

Log a change and Torkmark compares your most recent drive before it against your most recent drive after it, on the same reading. Conditions are checked on ambient temperature only, and a comparison that cannot meet that check refuses to assert a result rather than reporting one.

StorageWhere is my history stored?

Your recorded readings upload to your account; your build history, drive summaries, trouble codes and settings stay on your phone. Uninstalling removes your build history and drive summaries from the phone, and there is no server copy to restore them from.

ExportWhat can I export?

Export your build history from the app as readable text through the Android share sheet. The export covers the build history only, not your recorded readings. There is no backup, import or phone-to-phone transfer today, so export your build history before changing or wiping a phone.

PlatformIs there a web or iPhone app?

Torkmark is an Android app. There is no web or iPhone app, and no date is published for either.

CostWhat does access cost?

The closed test does not cost anything. Pricing after alpha is not set, and it will be published in full rather than discovered at a paywall.

Early access

Who can joinAnyone in the United States with an Android phone on Android 10 or newer and a Google account they use with Google Play. Closed testing is open in the United States only.

The next step

Email the address you use with Google Play.

Email the Google account you use with Google Play. That address goes on the tester list and the reply carries the Play opt-in link. Signing in does not enrol you.

The button opens your own mail app with the subject and questions already filled in. Nothing reaches Torkmark until you press send there, and this page collects nothing.
